SAW 3 Information!

From Here

Lions Gate Films held an exclusive screening of this month's spotlight genre release, Saw II, and Dread Central was there ready to be bathed in all the crimson glory it had to offer.

Following Darren Bousman's auspicious feature film debut, the press had a chance to chat with co-writer Leigh Whannell, Jigsaw himself Tobin Bell and the film's producers. A full write-up is to come, but in the meantime, I thought I'd pull a few quotes of interest that came up when I asked the inevitable - if Saw II strikes it big at the box office, are they ready to stretch Jigsaw's carnage into a third entry?

"Have we been working on stories for 'Saw III'?" replies producer (and Twisted Pictures') Mark Burg. "We kind of deliberately left unanswered questions in 'Saw II' just like in the 'Saw'." Producer Greg Hoffman continues, "Have we been thinking about it? Of course. And yes, it depends on how 'Saw II' does."

"We're still giving birth to ['Saw II']," Whannell chimes in with a laugh. "It's the George Lucas answer, it was always meant to be a trilogy."
